United In Faith Spence Bible College
The College is organized and operated for religious, educational, charitable, and ministry-training purposes. Its purposes include teaching the Holy Scriptures, training students for Christian service, developing ministers and church workers, granting certificates or academic recognition as authorized, promoting holy living, and preserving Apostolic doctrine in teaching and practice.
Our Heart & Mission
His Grace, The Honorable Bishop Roy W. Spence gave his life to the Lord in 1955 and joined Rehoboth Church of God Apostolic under the pastorate of the late Bishop R. A. Carr. In 1965, he joined the First United Church of Jesus Christ under the pastorate of the late Chief Apostle Monroe R. Saunders, Sr.
Bishop Spence was active in the body of Christ, serving as Vice President of the Deacon Board, Vice President of the Usher Board, President of the local Men’s Department, and President of the national Men and Brotherhood Fellowship. He also served as Chairman of Transportation and Kitchen Affairs and ministered in many other areas of the church. During his leadership, he received and accepted the call to ministry and continued faithfully serving. In 1990, he was ordained an Elder and consecrated as an Overseer through the laying on of hands by the late Bishop Willard E. Saunders, Sr.
In 1989, Reverends Roy W. and Bessie L. Spence felt led by the Lord to open Christ Temple Holiness Church. Bishop Spence served there alongside his wife as pastor for 22 years. During that time, many souls were saved, and many received the gift of the Holy Ghost. He was consecrated to the office of Bishop through the laying on of hands by the late Chief Apostle Monroe R. Saunders, Sr., Bishop William Thomas, and the College of Bishops.Bishop Roy W. Spence served as the Mid-Atlantic Diocesan Bishop for Word Harvest International under the leadership of his son, Chief Apostle Dr. J. Lemuel Spence.
Professionally, Bishop Spence was the founder and CEO of Midway Charter Coach. He was inducted into the National Who’s Who Foundation of America as one of the early African American pioneers in the motor coach industry. He also served on the National Safety Council Board for the American Bus Association and was a member of the Black Enterprise Association of Maryland.
Bishop Roy W. Spence dedicated his life’s work to building God’s kingdom through teaching and the practical application of God’s Word. He was influential in the establishment of churches throughout the world. In honor of his legacy and life’s work, the mission of United in Faith Spence Bible College is to equip students, ministers, church leaders, and servants of Christ through sound biblical instruction, Apostolic doctrine, spiritual formation, practical ministry training, and academic excellence.

A two-year program that equips students with a solid understanding of scripture, theology, and practical ministry skills. The degree emphasizes both academic study and spiritual formation, helping students apply biblical principles to personal life, ministry, and professional contexts
An undergraduate degree designed to equip students with a strong foundation in the Bible, theology, and practical ministry. It prepares graduates for further study in graduate school, or direct ministry roles such as pastor, evangelist, missionary, church planter, or biblical educator
The Master of Theology (Th.M.) is designed for those who want to enrich their understanding of Scripture’s context and original languages. Those who complete the MBS will be equipped for Christian discipleship, teaching ministries, or further theological education.
A Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) equips students with advanced biblical knowledge, hermeneutical skills, theological understanding, and ministry competencies through a structured program of core courses, electives, and a dissertation or practical project
